@fight_with_veya: Less than 13 hours until surgery. Tomorrow morning at 9:15 AM, our sweet girl will head to the operating room for her tracheostomy. Last night reminded us that even when things are going well, recovery is still fragile. The team was running her CKRT a little more aggressively to prepare her for surgery, and CJ's blood pressure did not appreciate that plan very much. She ended up needing blood pressure support overnight, which led to some adjustments in the surgical preparation plan. The current plan is for her to stop feeds at 2 AM. At 5 AM, She will come off CKRT and receive approximately 60 mL of blood before surgery. At 6 AM, they will repeat her CBC and give her a one time stress dose of hydrocortisone to help support her body through the procedure. Then it will be time to head to the operating room I will be at the hospital first thing in the morning and then spending surgery time trying to distract myself by answering emails.
