It’s exhausting and a waste of precious time. I say just keep moving forward and do not assume you’ll ever hear from the avoidant again and when you do hopefully you’ll be moved on.

He ignored me and said he was busy so I decided to let him have his space , he texted for a week and I didn’t respond, he became hysterical, so I asked him where the time came from and he got offended and broke up with me , it’s been a week . I told him I dont hâte him nor blâme him and I accept what he wants and agreed to his request, he however told me that ‘ I’ll always listen to you ‘ I didn’t ask what he meant . I am determined not to text him because I am at peace , I know it’s not what he wanted but I wonder if I’ll ever hear from him , if I ever do I’ll only offer him friendship nothing else .

We had just started talking and I didn’t appreciate the breadcrumbing so I told him I need space to heal that I couldn’t do that and he blocked me again after saying I’m giving you your space.

My avoidant came back with a let’s be friends offer. We hang out sometimes and now my avoidant tells me his dating life and it is chaotic nothing works but deep down I still love my avoidant.

He’s a wonderful man. He’s kind. I genuinely believe he loves me. I love him. But I had to end it after 2 years. I was suffering. Do I tell him he’s avoidant? He has no idea/doesn’t study attachments… doesn’t self reflect. Or do I just let him figure it out (or not)? I don’t want him back. I’m just sad for us. I want him to be healthy and happy. He’s 46.
