I just got addicted again as an adult and just realized I’m pretty much gambling. I bought an Ascended Hero ETB for way more than it’s worth and got nothing. Also GameStop is charging market prices and not the actual price 😩

I honestly feel the same..I pulled the gengar from ascended heros and I don’t collect gengar so I sold it 🤷🏼♀️I didn’t wanna hang on to it for 5 years and hope for the value to go up. It’s a hard decision but I got around 1,000 for it. I have been after the dragonite though as I love that evo line and I wouldn’t sell it just because I enjoy that.

Had beef with a guy on here telling people to buy prismatic ETBS for $200 because he’d ’studied the market for 10 years’ and it wasn’t a gamble. Everything to do with Pokemon is a gamble, it’s one of the most volatile markets in the world. Completely contributing to scalper culture, like you said, it’s a hobby, not an investment portfolio
