They see a bigger body and assume: she must be lazy she must eat badly she must have no discipline Meanwhile, I’m outlifting most of the people making those assumptions. And that’s the part that doesn’t fit their narrative. Because people have been taught that health and strength have a “look”, and if you don’t fit it, everything you do gets dismissed. So if I eat a cupcake? That confirms it for them. What they don’t see is everything else. The consistent training. The structure. The meals that support performance. The fact that I can pull 200kg. If I was actually eating McDonald’s for breakfast and ice cream all day, I wouldn’t be able to do that. Full stop. But here’s the bigger issue… This obsession with looking “healthy” is why so many women are stuck. They’re under eating. Over restricting. Constantly chasing smaller instead of stronger. And calling that discipline. It’s not. And the same mindset shows up in training too. People think progress means going all out every session. Maxing out. Chasing fatigue. Proving something. But real progress is a lot less dramatic. I just took 11 days off. Didn’t train legs properly for 3 weeks. So I’m not coming back trying to hit PBs. I’m reducing the weight. Lowering the intensity. Letting my body rebuild. Because that’s how strength actually works. Not extremes. Not punishment. Not trying to prove your worth through suffering. Food freedom isn’t the problem. Body fat isn’t the problem. The problem is how quickly people decide what kind of person you are based on both.
