This applies to a very specific situation that played out yesterday, and I'm still sitting in the aftermath of today. I am a teacher in an online community, and I uncovered that my apprentice was speaking ill of me and others. I'm glad to know my calm, understanding approach was the way to go. Not to say there were no consequences, I just extended compassion while delivering them.
