you got it the wrong way around, you get sponsorships because people are interested and watch you so your sponsor gets the benefit that a lot of people see him too; people dont sponsor you just to promote your own audience.

i am no math expert but if u increase 100 viewers by 60% it will still be a low number. they get paid less because no one watches them. and only 20% of them i would consider actually good professional footballers and worth watching

FIFA doesn’t pay players. Clubs pay players. FIFA only pays prize money for the tournaments they organize, like the World Cup but they don’t pay it to players. It’s paid to the football federations. Like this year they are paying out $871 million. Half of that goes to all teams just for participating. The other half is distributed for advancing. Also in general clubs don’t pay ‘men’. They pay individual players. Take Real. Mbappe makes around €71M including bonuses. But Gonzalez only makes €0.5M, but even more regular starters make around €10M, 14% of Mbappe. All the other earnings like brand deals, endorsements, sponsorships and collabs are purely individual. If you have a good agent who knows how to make the deals you will make more, if you don’t, you don’t. And brands pay players based on what they expect to make back from it. They don’t care if it’s Mbappe, Messi, a man or a woman, they care how much they can make back on their investment.
