@44emirr: Here’s the trap. A trader closes a long position. Sells what they have. This creates selling pressure. It looks like aggressive selling. Delta goes negative. It looks bearish. But it’s not aggressive selling. It’s liquidating a position. Now look at another scenario. A trader opens a new short position. Also sells. Also creates selling pressure. Also negative delta. But this time it’s new short exposure. It’s conviction. These two scenarios create identical-looking orderflow. But they mean completely different things. One is position unwinding. One is new conviction. How do you tell the difference? Open interest. When a trader closes a long, OI decreases. The total contracts outstanding go down. When a trader opens a new short, OI increases. The total exposure goes up. Same delta move. Different OI story. One signals weakness because positions are being reduced. One signals conviction because new positions are being built. Most traders see the negative delta and guess. They don’t look at OI. They don’t distinguish between the two. That’s why they misread orderflow constantly. Same price action can mean two totally different things depending on what the OI is doing. Always check OI with your delta. #tradingstrategy #nq #orderflow #daytrading #ict
You explain things beautifully, I’ve been using FRVP and fib combo for about a year now and my data collection has shown me FRVP has been outperforming fibs this current 2 quarter
