@nursenicolenclex: 🚨Here’s the NCLEX answers👇🏻 🧠 Bacterial Meningitis = Brain Emergency 🚨 Patho: 🦠 Bacteria inflame the meninges → ↑ ICP → ↓ oxygen to the brain Classic Signs: 🤒 Fever 🤕 Severe headache 🙅♀️ Stiff neck 💡 Photophobia 😵 Altered LOC 🔴 Petechial rash = think meningococcal meningitis Priority: 💉 Start IV antibiotics ASAP ⚠️ Seizure precautions 🫁 Monitor for increased ICP Isolation: 😷 Droplet precautions until 24 hrs after antibiotics NCLEX Tip: Fever + headache + stiff neck = think bacterial meningitis. Don’t memorize, understand the WHY!
