Nurses days are just 1 distraction after another, multitasking all day. It's so stressful and exhausting. 7 pts was standard on my tele unit. now Outpatient cardiac CM.

I still have an occasional bad dream about working on a med surg floor in my 20's and 30's..now an 80 yr. old retired RN... It's probably worse now!!! 😕 Thank-you for your dedicated care!! 💜💜

I have so much respect for med/surg nurses. I did it for 2 weeks and ran for the hills. Everyone is a high fall risk, AMS and has 30+ morning meds.

As soon as I walked on the floor I would have to start running. Every single shift. People‘s needs are constant they don’t stop. It was so exhausting.

What non nurses don’t understand is that was like 10% of what actually occurred from 645-1030 lol I’m sure their was critical labs, families wanting updates, actual assessments on pts, rechecking vitals, pts needing to be cleaned, drs to call. Checklists for procedures etc etc etc. sooooo much to get done. Sometimes it feels impossible
