@hicarsondogss: We just found out some heartbreaking news about Stitch (formerly Ace from the Carson Animal Shelter) 💔 We all thought his story was finally turning around after being adopted. Instead, Ace’s health began to decline. After being passed around and not receiving the care he needed, he became increasingly sick. His right rear leg had already started showing signs of weakness, and then the unthinkable happened, Stitch/Ace woke up one day unable to use his back legs. He has since been diagnosed with severe IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease), a painful spinal condition that has left him paralyzed. An MRI confirmed the damage, and unfortunately, he’s not a surgical candidate. To make matters even more heartbreaking, some of the same rescues that wanted him when he was healthy walked away once his medical needs became more complicated. Some even suggested euthanasia. But we’re not giving up. He’s currently safe with Surviving Cruelty Animal Rescue and is looking for a very special foster who can help him navigate life as a disabled dog while giving him the love and stability he’s never truly had. ✔️ Medical foster needed ✔️ French Bulldog experience preferred ✔️ Experience with reactive dogs a plus ✔️ Takes time to trust new people ✔️ No small children ✔️ Does best with female dogs ✔️ Can be okay with male dogs with proper introductions ✔️ Patient home committed to helping him decompress Stitch beat the odds once when he made it out of Carson.
