Betaine is NOT vitamin B1. You need thiamine or Benfotiamine.

I'm intolerant to Thiamine and Benfotiamine. I've microdosed to try to build a tolerance, but I get severe indigestion and all I taste is sulfur every time I take it. I'm definitely deficient in it (did the NutrEval Plasma lab test). Any suggestions?

I think anyone with MCAS, POTS, EDS, IBS and/or any type of neurodivergence should be taking thiamine.

I have this and one MTHFR gene mutation. I have to take methylated vitamins to feel functional.

Additional B1 forms to Google: Benfotamine, Allithiamine, and Sulbutiamine. The standard one in most vitamins is Thiamine HCL

betaine HCl is for low acid in the stomach. It has nothing to do with b1

Do we need to take the Fireman with a B complex cause sometimes if you take one part of the B complex it can create a deficiency and the other part

I take L-Methylfolate for MTHFR. Is supplementing B1 likely helpful for MCAS (plus the trifecta etc) as well?
