Lord Otachi :
I just noticed that light fury's death whistle is almost the same as a night fury but with less bounce and more smooth

Lost Wolf :
I was disapointed that they didnt add it in the live action movie , I love how Toothless sounded like the German Stuka bomber

$AG3 :
I love that it's because he's so fast, he's almost/is about to break the sound breaker.

Genuinely my favorite sound design thing ever, it conveys raw speed and power like nothing else I've ever heard in media.

thank you for adding that SN there. the 3rd movie absolutely has some of the most beautiful animations and outfits, but genuinely is just terrible for the franchise. it doesn’t fit at all and i hate it

Words cannot articulate how magical and instrumental the first HTTYD was to my childhood. Also number #1 vocal stim.

I’ve flown falcons for years, and I can say with 100% certainty they referenced a falcon’s stoop while animating Toothless

I figured it was his overall shape that made that noise as it cuts through the air kinda like an actual whistle sorta deal cuz he's so smooth

†ZΞPHYR™ ∅ [𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘶𝘱] :
I think the death whistle comes from his wings when he dives or flies at a specific speed and not from his vocals
