Steve, this thread says a lot. So many talented people are stuck in a broken job market, and most were never taught how to look beyond another role. I work with people who are asking, “What else could I do with my experience besides chase another job?” Not here to pitch anyone, but if anyone in this thread wants a different way to think through career ownership, business ownership, or alternative paths, I’m happy to be a resource.

I’m so terrified. I have no savings left and the company I work for just went through a round of layoffs. I know some inside financial info and it’s bad, if the company doesn’t go under it’s going to be real close. I’ve been applying and interviewing but haven’t gotten an offer. I’m also pretty deep into Perimenopause and I just do NOT have the energy to start over.
