@chrisclarksports: The 1996 Federated Auto Parts 250 at Nashville Speedway USA turned into one of the wildest short-track races of the season. Thirteen caution flags slowed the action as early dominator Jack Sprague gave way to a fierce late-race battle between Mike Skinner and Harry Gant. When Skinner and Gant tangled in dramatic fashion, Dave Rezendes found himself in the perfect position to capitalize. After starting 14th, Rezendes surged through the chaos and held off a charging Ron Hornaday Jr. by less than half a second for an unlikely victory. The race also marked the NASCAR national series debut of Casey Atwood, while Hornaday’s runner-up finish helped strengthen his championship lead. #NASCAR #TruckSeries #NashvilleSpeedway #DaveRezendes #RonHornadayJr
