Mama, it is that deep. Sleep deprivation is actually soul crushing. But you WILL get through this and you’ll look back and be so so proud.

If I had had my second child first, I would have never had a second kid. It’s absolutely is that deep.

I stopped hoping that my daughter will sleep better and suddenly the wake ups at night aren't that bad anymore. I accepted my fate, even if she's waking up 5-6 times during sleep regression. I don't know how to explain it, but it makes it less difficult 🤷🏻

This kind of exhaustion wears you down at a soul level, and no one can understand unless they’ve been there. It’s that deep. It really is. My heart goes out to ya mama. ♥️

My son would only sleep 4 hours including day naps, until 18 months. I couldn’t handle it anymore, I ended up breaking down in front of my doctor. He referred me straight to sleep school in Brisbane. We stayed for a week and I tell you what, it was amazing! My child is now 8 and ever since sleep school he has slept all night through. Message me if you need any help 💕 I know EXACTLY how you are feeling right now!!!

Sleep training is the only thing that saved me. It was the most painful and difficult thing. I had to have noise canceling headphones during it. It is absolutely that deep. Sleep deprivation alters your entire world and reality. I’m so sorry this is so hard.

By chance do you co sleep? No judgment but genuinely curious. From what I’ve seen of my 2 sisters and their kids their sleep in generally much worse when co sleeping, we did not co sleep and our daughter is a fab sleeper. I wonder if there is a common theme. It’s no easy and I’m sure you’re doing the best you can. Big hugs. 🫂

It's just a vicious cycle!! You're so tired that you can't even think so even the smallest solutions feel impossible because you're just so tired to do it. I remember some days feeling sick to my core and that I was dying because I was so tired

Sweet girl it IS that deep. Not getting any solid sleep for over a year will literally change your brain and personality. I have been (and still kind of am) where you are and my heart goes out to you. If you have a partner or parent or friend you can trust to care for baby overnight please try and take even ONE night to yourself to sleep and get your brain into REM. Sending love.

It is DEEP!!! Don’t sell your struggles and feelings and frustrations short. From another sleep deprived mumma it affects so much more than just sleep. Sending so much virtual strength. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. It really does put a damper on our first year + of parenthood. 😭

As a mum of 4, it’s all well and good to say it gets better, which it does, but right now it’s totally 100% fine to hate it and think it’s completely fucked. Live in those feelings, feel them and just do day by day and know you have thousands of mumma’s supporting you!

Our boy woke every 40 mins for a feed for the first 14 months and I actually lost my mind, it was the hardest thing I’ve ever been through, until we did a 2 week program with our sleep consultant and he’s been sleeping through the night ever since he’s 2 and a half now, message me if you need to chat I can give you all her details she was a wizard when it came to sleep, you’ve got this mumma ❤️

This is all temporary. Our daughter woke up multiple times a night until she was 3. Now she’s nearly 11, we give her melatonin every night, and she loves her bed and her rest. Keep going. It gets better.

Alice, you're an amazing mumma. Being a mum is one of the hardest jobs anyone can do. Just remember, this is your first time being a mum, and it's your baby's first time in the world too. There are no instructions or manuals made specifically for your baby. You're learning together every day, and you're doing a wonderful job. Be kind to yourself and remember that your love, care, and effort mean more than perfection ever could.

Sleep deprivation landed me and my bub in a women’s refuge because my ex could no longer support me through it. It was rough. 2 years in without a full nights sleep. You’re not alone mama. I see you fully in this struggle.

I have a 13 month old who’s sleep has been similar. He was only sleeping 45mins at a time for the longest time. Sleep deprivation has been awful for us also. Something I’m never experienced in my life. My boy will sleep a 6hr stint and then the next night he’s up all the time.. I completely understand how you feel.. I keep thinking to myself it won’t last forever but when you’re in the thick of it, it feels like it will ❤️

Sleep training is easier when they are younger because they aren’t knowing. Your one year old knows too much so it’s going to take longer. Hang in there, know you are doing it for long term. Change takes time
