YOU RAISE MY BIGGEST GRIEVANCE 😂 — That mouth. Sake with smarty pants (I think)… forget everything else, that toys talk at all, haha, but beforehand the toys HAVE mouths. This breaks the illusion because a mouth is just appearing on solid plastic. So for them in this world, an animated mouth suddenly appears. It’s irritating and kinda breaks a rule! I think! I’m tired

Such a phenomenal job portraying those early learning pads. The pixelation and color of the eye really makes it feel like there’s a bit of light behind them like an actual screen’s soft glow.

The aberration is because Pixar’s rendering pipeline includes virtual cameras and lenses. They are actually rendering as if the light goes through a lens and onto a CCD, it’s crazy.

It would be interesting to see the toys reaction to seeing a dusty/out-dated/technically ‘dead’ Lilypad and other tech in the inevitable TS6. Maybe the plot could be a parallel to that with Buzz’s hardware beginning to age out and the toys looking parts.

I’ve grown to really appreciate the choices made during animation versus filming. If it’s on the screen in animation it’s been considered and it’s been a choice, filming seems a bit more organic but also more forced at the same time
