After me and my wife have spent all over $100,000 trying to have our own kid and after all the research, not having any clue on the reason why we can’t, surrogacy would definitely be a good option.

I have a friend who did surrogacies for the money 3 times. She loved it. She loved choosing and helping build the families, she loves seeing pictures down the road, and she used the money to build an incredible life for her daughter and herself.

ngl i really think that surrogracy should be like a donation, like "i donated my body and time bc i want to help my family or friend to be a parent" but when you paid a stranger (genarally someone in need of money) for that seems dystopian and exploitative

My surro-nephew was not “my child.” I love him in the same way I love my actual nephews. But I have zero connection to him the way I bonded to my kids. Also if surrogacy is “purchasing children” what is adoption? Cause you pay for those kids too.

Most of the stories I've read from surrogates are positive experiences. They're from women who had children & want to help someone who can't. It's just my opinion, but I don't think it's anyone's business who chooses to be a surrogate & who is raising that child as long as there's love.

there is an argument to be made that under a society where you need money not to starve, commercial surrogacy can be very exploitative, but i know that video isn’t being made out of concern for low income women
