This sounds pessimistic but I honestly don’t think you can ever give 100% in all aspects like you physically can’t split yourself to be 100% at work and at home. I think it’s setting a time to switch over

As a single mum from when my second born was 2 but also a nursery teacher. We spent weekends at home. We didn’t need to be doing, but just needed to be present. Whether that’s arts and crafts at home, puzzles, orchard toys games or just a car mat full of vehicles or small world toys it provides down time, reset time and time to just be. Toddlers don’t need to be consistently busy or entertained they need us to provide the foundations

I am an ocean mom/woman who now lives in a land locked state and I STRUGGLE coming up with default activities other than a sweet treat and coffee run. Pools are even not easily accessible here 😫😫😫

I’m so jealous you live so close to here. Mine and my toddlers favourite place in the world, aside from Hollywell. Are living costs expensive? X

not a sandy beach mum/don't live near the beach. we are outdoorsy, take them to a national trust or a kid hike or camping. if in doubt we grab a coffee and go find some wide open green spaces and the kids are sooo happy 🥰

I grew up on/by the beach, my kids grew up on/ by the beach until they were 4 and 6. Girl I miss it so much! Thankfully, we had lots of open space around us, lots of parks. A man made beach isn’t far, lots of farm parks.

we are very lucky as we live by the sea but we also have an allotment and both my boys love going down there, digging a giant hole, filling it with water and playing in the mud slop 😆. We also have a little bakery in our village so we often do a park visit followed by cakes 😁

Same vibes , no beach but we live across from a big grassy park so we go and play there, take the balance bike/scooter, play hide and seek, build bonfires with sticks, take a picnic, football, blow bubbles, bird spotting, making art out of leaves etc. we spend hours there! X

I no longer live by the sea and I spend so much time thinking god if I was still there I could be doing this/that. The park is just not the same at all!
