My boys grew up with Toy Story. The oldest one loved Woody the youngest one loved Buzz Lightyear. I remember the days of them running around the house playing and dragging Buzz and Woody with them. I remember when Toy Story came out on VHS tape and we got it and it quickly became one of our family’s favorite movies and therefore one of our greatest memories. They asked my husband what he wanted to do for Father’s Day and he said he wants to go see Toy story 5 and I think they reluctantly agreed. But when we walked out, we were all talking and chatting about the funny parts, the parts that made so much sense, how true everything about that movie is, and the best part was just how happy we all were. Now my family includes a daughter-in-law and my babies are 29 and 31. It was such a blessing to be able to relive a little bit of the past but able to understand what these little moments mean. Time goes so fast and those little babies grow up. I think about how many times I would say I can’t wait until they can walk, I can’t wait until they can ride a bike, I can’t wait until they can walk to school, I can’t wait until they’re old enough to be at home by themselves, and the list goes on and on. It’s such a shame I didn’t realize meeting each one of those milestones meant leaving behind precious memories that I wouldn’t be able to get back. I wish I would’ve enjoyed all of those moments and held onto them instead of always looking forward to the next thing. Because one day you wake up and you are left with an empty house and a lot of memories. I’m so proud of the men they have become, but I miss the little boys they once were. If you can relate to this, then we should be friends. And if your kids loved Toy story you have got to go see Toy story 5. It is absolutely so good and you will walk out with a big smile on your face and feeling so much happier than you did when you walked in. #toystory5 #iknewitiknewyou
