It is a powerful Sunnah supplication for safeguarding children from all kinds of harm. The Prophet ﷺ used to recite this dua seeking Allah’s protection from every evil, including Shaytan, harmful creatures, and the evil eye. Arabic: أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ Transliteration: A‘oodhu bikalimātillāhit-tāmmati min kulli shayṭānin wa hāmmatin, wa min kulli ‘aynin lāmmah. Meaning: I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from every devil, harmful creature, and from every evil eye that can cause harm. This dua is mentioned in Sahih al-Bukhari and is a Sunnah practice of the Prophet ﷺ for protection and safety. It is highly recommended to recite it for children in the morning, evening, and before sleeping, and to gently blow over them after reciting for spiritual protection.
