Two factor authentication requiring multiple devices to log into anything is legitimately terrible if you’re traveling and have any kind of phone malfunction or misplace it or it gets stolen.

I went to Dubai and my phone literally broke. They don’t have at&T in Dubai so luckily I was with friends so it was OK, but I was able to call people on my Apple Watch because it had his own line. I’m never ever ever switching from Apple products

I always travel with a backup phone and for a long time I never needed it until one of my most recent trips where I accidentally left my phone in a grab (uber in Thailand) and I was able to locate my phone and get in contact with the driver bc I had my spare phone where I could log into iCloud from!

My Apple Watch with its own line saved me. Normally used an old cracked iPhone 11 as backup but with all the lithium battery warnings i wasn’t sure if the battery was compromised and left it at home last minute before my trip. Lost my phone and Apple Watch saved me. It runs through battery life so fast though
