I always make sure my kids have something in for their Dad so they don’t feel bad. Birthday/christmas/father’s day. He doesn’t deserve it and does nothing for me but it not about that it’s about how my kids feel.

I also asked my 2 children and they both said no. They are aged 9 and 13 so not younger kids x

I never sent gifts. I did have them call when they wanted to. I reminded them of his birthday but once they were 18, I became hands off. My ex did not cultivate relationships with them as children so of my 3 kids, 2 rarely speak to him and the one with a child is a strict no contact. Fortunately, I get the wonderful time with my grandchild 🥰

I did it with my ex wife birthdays, Mother’s Day and Christmas , I wanted to teach my children that it was the right and normal thing to do, and didn’t stoop to her level as never received anything from her , my daughter used to ask for money and take her to the shops so she could buy something from her and her brother . Now they are adults they can make their own decisions.

At my kids school (I think they include pre-school) they do a mothers/fathers/Christmas event where kids can pick out a present and it is wrapped so they can give it their special person.

I’m the same my 2 kids are 14/16 and they wanted to get him a Father’s Day gift .. the relationship between me and ex is v toxic and he doesn’t bother for me but I will always do what’s in my kids best interest so if they want to get him something I give them money to get it… as I don’t want to stoop to his level and the kids see who steps up and who doesn’t… they love their dad and I’m not about to punish them for living their dad.. in fact I do what I can to facilitate their relationship with him as they don’t need know about the toxicity…

I think I would, regardless. Even if it’s just a card and something small

I would, I would always want my child to know that when they were older I put them first. So until the child is old enough to make the decision I would send at least a card, regardless of what he does.

I’d possibly ask the kids if they want to make a card for their dad? But honestly if they’re not there for their kids then I wouldn’t rub it in your kids faces that it’s Father’s Day tbh.

Always keep yourself on the right side of any argument and break up, I think it's best to send a card from the kids . It shows you're the better person !
When the kids get older they can decide !❤️
