@helen_christie: Spooky Titanic Stories 🚢⚓️👻 Extra tid bits!: Eva Hart was extensively interviewed about the disaster and wrote 2 books about her experience. So her experience is heavily documented. Edith Corse Evans sadly went down with the ship (one of only 4 first class women to have perished), so the fortune teller story emerged after the disaster through accounts from her friends and family. The same goes for Jenny the cat. The story comes from a man named Joe Mulholland, who worked on Titanic during her fitting out. While having cats aboard ships was extremely common, there's no independent evidence for Jenny beyond Mulholland’s recollections. However, here are some more fully documented eerie facts surrounding the sinking: 1. Eight men died during Titanic's construction, and another was k1ll3d during her launch. 2. A lifeboat drill scheduled for Sunday, April 14th was unexpectedly cancelled by Captain Edward Smith. More than a century later, still nobody knows exactly why. 3. Several prominent passengers cancelled their trips before the maiden voyage, including chocolate magnate Milton Hershey. 🍫 After all this Titanic research I've come to one conclusion. I’m never going on a cruise. 🚢😅 #titanic #storytime #History #spooky #fyp
