Lesson 13: Into Eternity (June 20–26) Introduction This week's lesson focuses on the greatest hope of every Christian eternal life with Jesus. The world is full of pain, sickness, death, disappointment, and sorrow, but God promises a future where all these things will be gone forever. The lesson reminds us to keep our eyes on eternity and not only on the struggles of this present life. Memory Text Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. 1 John 3:2 Key Idea As Christians, we are not living only for this world. We are preparing for a better home where Jesus will live with His people forever. What We Will Learn This Week The promise of Jesus' Second Coming. The hope of eternal life. God's plan to remove sin forever. The New Jerusalem. A world without pain, tears, sickness, or death. What it means to live today with eternity in mind. It is being with Jesus forever. One day Christ will return, gather His people, and establish a new heaven and a new earth where righteousness dwells. No more Death Sickness Crying Pain Sin Fear God Himself will dwell with His people. QUESTION: If there was no sickness, no death, no pain, and Jesus lived with us forever, how would you feel? Lesson Aim By the end of this lesson, we should understand that Our hope is in Jesus. Eternal life is real. God has prepared a wonderful future for His people. We must remain faithful as we wait for Christ's return.
