Some men really don't understand how long it takes for a mother to fully recover after giving birth. Akala ng iba, kapag nanganak ka na, tapos na ang pregnancy journey. But the truth is, it's not. Recovery is really hard—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. Mothers need support during this journey. It took two people to create a child, so both should be there every step of the way, including during the recovery process. Hindi lang dapat sabay sa paggawa, kundi sabay din sa pag-aalaga at pag-recover.

the first few months after birth is crucial for both the mother and father, especially since there's a huge possibility of post partum depression (ppd) during that time. the adjustment to caring for a baby can take a toll on both parents, fathers need a reasonable amount of leave days for it.

Totoo yan. As a military wife and a mother, umiyak pa talaga ako nun sa asawa ko kasi wdym, 14days lang yung pat leave nya and cs pa ako. Wala akong ibang katulong. Wala akong choice dahil yun lang ang required num days to file a pat leave. Sobrang laking tulong nyan sa mga mommy if ever na pumasa yang 105days

ok naman yan pero dapat tulungan ng gobyerno ma offset yung losses ng company. wag puro feel good at papogi lang. gusto ko yan as a father pero we should also weigh the impact of this sa employers. sobrang dami ng holidays sa pinas tapos may 13th month pa tapos may 105 days pa na paternity leave 😅

Thanks sa explanation. As a mom, usually yun maternity leave, hindi 100% nakakarecover ang nanay kasi habang recovering sya sa normal/CS delivery niya, nag-aalaga siya ng newborn. Hindi naman lahat may katuwang sa pag-aalaga like in laws or helper. Malaking tulong ang paternity leave for the wife and baby.
