@heidifureytattooo: Another day, another blast-over sleeve in progress ✨ Lara came to me wanting to rework a collection of older colour tattoos into a bold negative floral sleeve. With projects like this, the key is creating designs that are strong, readable, and simplified enough to sit clearly over the existing work. For this sleeve, I chose chrysanthemum and dahlia-inspired blooms alongside cherry blossoms, as they work really well for a project like this. Their shapes are bold and simplified while still allowing for strong flow and contrast throughout the design. We’re also keeping the cat piece on the outer lower forearm, so the new composition is being designed to flow naturally around it and tie everything together. First session was all about mapping out the overall concept and structure. Next session we’ll begin building the black background and starting the negative shading that will really bring this sleeve to life. Thanks Lara — can’t wait to continue this one 🌸
