It’s frustrating that period pain is still often treated as something that only requires painkillers. There should be more discussion about the wider range of options available, because the current approach feels behind the times

When I go to A&E with endo pain and the first thing they ask me is ‘have you tried ibuprofen or paracetamol?’ NO SHARON I CAME HERE JUST FOR SOME NUROFEN

NSAID (ibuprofen and friends) are bad for your stomach lining 😭 my stomach and I are suffering. Paracetamol does nothing and I’ve struggled to find good ibuprofen alternatives that won’t hurt my tummy.

Side note: ibuprofen is not easy on the stomach, so in many cases you need to take something alongside it to prevent stomach pain and potentially ulcers..
