I know there’s an annoying side of the fandom that’s just like that, most of them are webtoon readers or people who got into orv because of the ship. But I swear there’s the good side too 😭. The best thing to do with content that bother you is block it and soon or late the kind of content ur looking for will reach you. And now we have the side story so I feel like there are more active people commenting the story but it’s also understandable that when a story has finished a long time ago, and fans have already talked about it so much, ships are one of the remaining things that can keep the fandom alive. (English is not my first language 😞)

omg no cause it genuinely makes me upset when people ignore Han Sooyoung and what she did for Kim Dokja, and reduces Yoo Joonghyuk’s character to “oh!! he’s in love with Kim Dokja and is the alpha to Kim Dokja’s omega!!”

ive been hated on for saying that yjk and kdj’s rs is not romantic whatsoever and that saying that undermines the effort that sinsong put in creating a relationship that transcended both platonic and romantic boundaries, without yjk there would be no kdj and vice versa theyre literally companions in life and death

i really dislike how the story itself is never taken seriously by the fans, so obviously when outsiders see most of the “fans” just dumbing it down to ship wars it lessens the value of orv as a piece of fiction. dumbing down kdj and restraining his character purely to romantic partakings makes the character itself seem one dimensional, same thing with yjh and hsy.

Other kimcom members are underrated too, including hsy. hsy is one of the protagonists of orv but she gets downgraded to 'writing a book for a man'. everyone is well written but they don't get enough attention as much as joongdok, and I'm saying this as a joongdok shipper myself. they deserve better from the fandom
