now YES, misoginy is rooted in some of these things too, but men cause misandry on their own too and that’s undeniable, even while it doesn’t directly say that women only can cause misandry, this video’s purpose is to show that misandry isn’t NOT only online as most (nearly everyone) thinks, i’d be talking about misogyny too, but i don’t have credits for a voice so i can’t, besides, it’s probably already clear, i’m stating these because people think misandry doesn’t exist just because it derived from misogyny. want other examples? sure. people still treating men as if they’re only valuable for what they can provide or sacrifice, old ideas dating back to places like Ancient Greece where the ideal man was expected to be strong, emotionally controlled, physically capable, and useful to the state, men being valued more for status than wellbeing, boys being raised to suppress vulnerability because masculinity was tied to discipline and endurance, men being expected to die for their country without question, the idea that a “real man” should endure pain in silence, male worth being judged by success, strength, and leadership instead of humanity, men being seen as disposable when they’re no longer useful, people showing less empathy toward male suffering because men are expected to be resilient, and social norms that still reward stoicism while punishing emotional openness. boys in Ancient Greece being raised under harsh systems that valued toughness over wellbeing, Spartan boys being subjected to brutal training from childhood, men being punished more severely for military cowardice, societies valuing men mainly for fighting and labor, male suffering in war being treated as ordinary or expected, boys being taught that showing fear or grief was shameful, men historically being expected to sacrifice themselves for their families or states, and male lives often being treated as more expendable during conflicts. just because women didn’t do these things doesnt mean they weren’t some way privileged in ancient times just because they stayed at home comfortably, only to take care of their family (if i’m not wrong.) #rant #misandry #misogyny #wlw #mlw
