@politicalparalysi: Boris Johnson promised there was “no threat” to Erasmus. Then Britain left, young people lost six years of opportunities, and now we’re rejoining. #BorisJohnson #Brexit #Erasmus #UKPolitics #PoliticalParalysis

The Turing Scheme's funding was so poor that I bet that man looked down from heaven and cried.

The only answer to the no-deal Brexit is a no-deal rejoining. The banks wanted autonomy and paid for Brexit. Everyone paid their price. The only casualty of accepting the Euro is the banks, it’s better for the British people.

In 2025 38,000 UK students took part in the Turing Scheme which replaced Erasmus, total cost £108 million. This government has now agreed to rejoin Erasmus at a cost of over £800 million a year so that you the British tax payer can subsidise the education of around 40,000 EU students. Worst deal ever.

Nonsense, it's all about Starmer accepting the EUs demands hoping to get a few scraps from the EU increased defense spending budget. The EU have been trying their young back into the UK since we left because they don't have the world leading colleges and universities we do. The Turing Scheme does everything that Erasmus does and it was specifically set up to favour British students from less wealthy backgrounds. The only real difference is that you can start Erasmus at 14 whereas it's 15 for Turing however Turing is Global with students studying in the US, Australia, Canada, Japan as well as Spain, Germany and France. There's nothing wrong with Erasmus but to pay 8 x more for nothing more is disgusting at a time when UK families are struggling to pay their energy bills etc.
