Our favorite saying as parents is “you can be mad, but you can’t be mean.” Meaning, you can have the full feelings but we’ll give you a HARD STOP if you physically or verbally hurt someone in your frustration or sadness. My boys are learning that their feelings are not someone else’s responsibility to regulate or fix. Love this!
