A lot of people don’t want to do it because of the insurance they need with that many guests and vendors on site. It just becomes a bit of a nightmare. Then there’s also the issue of upsetting the neighbours. It’s a whole thing! I’ve actually had this exact conversation with a property owner. I eloped on a private property that used to host weddings, but they had to stop because of all of the above. It’s so sad because there are so many people with GORGEOUS homes and incredible views, but they’re no longer available for weddings because of the liability, insurance and paperwork 😭

I had the same vision as you but kept getting knocked back. So we decided to elope instead 🤣. If you want the home style wedding vibe, you have to contact them privately and not on Airbnb type sites
