Do you know what this Bible verse means? “Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.” Deuteronomy 22:10 KJV Many people may think this is just a strange rule from the Old Testament. If they are forced under the same yoke, they will not truly move forward together. They will pull against each other and both will suffer. Marriage is not meant to be two people consuming each other. When God first established marriage, He said: “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.” Genesis 2:18 KJV So a marriage that truly follows God’s heart is a relationship where two people help each other. It is two people standing before God with one heart, facing life together, holding on to faith together, and building a family that is blessed by God.
