Season 4 once again clearly demonstrates that Subaru’s mental strength didn’t simply come about because the author decided to make him mentally strong, rather, in Seasons 1 through 3, Subaru had reasons and received help that saved him from a mental breakdown like the love for the people and his hero complex

Subaru within 3 seasons died ≈27 times. In S1 he was dying so fast to the fact where he got used to Rbd mentally, After the events with Geuse he had option to escape while also knowing that theres people who rely on him. . S2: He understood that he loves these people so theres no need for breakdowns when they can support you S3: Result of his developement, relying on others while also valuing his own life made him die only 3 times. S4: Died the most painful way imaginable ( Even more painful than the Rabbits ). He has paranoia of someone hunting him to kill him, he cant escape the tower while also not being complete in his own terms to the point where he regrets not saying goodbye to his mom ( Which he didnt even think about in S1 ). And the phase was becoming more darker and darker.
