Been to both miltiple times. Honestly, Japan is on another level. I was in awe!! Simply the best experience. South Korea is very convinient too. I like Jeju the most. I like Korea way more than America and would even choose it over all of Europe

There are a lot of spots in Japan where you can take pictures and post it without caption and the audience will already know that it's Japan while in Korea, you need to find fewer spots to have it's own identity. But for relax pace, I'll go for Korea

I personally think that Japan's true strength comes from its countryside. Once you've visited places like Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and whatever, it's the countryside of Japan that has an unmatched vibe.

Shopping for me is Japan. As someone who is not really into beauty and trendy fashion, Japan takes the shopping experience for me. Shopping for branded clothes, shoes, gadgets, watches and accessories is better in Japan. I find hotels in Korea more expensive. For the same price, they will offer guest houses only - shared bathroom and/or bedrooms.
