You can also have secondary CPTSD…. Meaning you were exposed to someone else’s trauma, helped them without realizing you would also become affected by their traumas…. PTSD is so complex as it is. My husband served in the army for the majority of our 21 yr marriage, and the darkness I had to walk through beside him has greatly impacted me and my life. It’s strange.
