at my dad funeral everyone always telling me he was good man, he Always helping people, and i love listening story about my dad, people always mention he was such a smart kid when he's a kid, and i never Heard a single bad story about him, i love you dad, i Miss your everyday.

There was a lady and a man who came to my dad's funeral who didn't even know his full name. They owned a convenience store in our town. The lady worked there for years before inheriting it from her dad who also cane. My dad had been a regular customer since she was a teenager. She said my dad was always sweet to her, her dad and any of the employees. He was patient, understanding and always had a funny line handy when someone was having a bad day. The store only knew his first name. The owner was reading the newspaper and saw my dad's face in the obituaries. They knew they had to at least stop by. They didn't even know he was sick. The woman told me how my dad always smiled when talking about me, even if he was telling a story of me being bad. I tried to hold in my tears for the visitation. I had been bawling for weeks, so I thought I could do it. Hearing her talk about him broke me.

A few weeks after mine passed, the lady from our local dollar general said “I heard about your dad. I am so sorry. He was a Good man. When I transferred to this store, he was the first customer that was nice to me” ❤️
