@coachbryanclark: One of the saddest things I see online is men teaching other men to become smaller because they got hurt. A lot of people seem to believe that if someone responds poorly to your vulnerability, the lesson is “never be vulnerable again.” But imagine applying that logic anywhere else in life. Got cheated on? Never date again. Got betrayed by a friend? Never trust anyone again. Got fired? Never apply for another job. Most of us would immediately recognize that as fear talking. The truth is that vulnerability is a risk. There is no way around that. Some people will mishandle it. Some people will judge it. Some people will weaponize it. But intimacy without vulnerability doesn’t exist. The answer isn’t building higher walls. It’s learning how to identify people who are capable of meeting you with empathy, care, and emotional maturity. Don’t let the worst person you’ve dated become the standard by which you judge everyone else. #relationships #relationshipadvice #avoidantattachment #avoidant #fixitorfeelit
