hope people will see this comment because i am actually too lazy to type out my exact opinion over and over again: this post is meant to target people who switch from „being goth“ to „being scene“ to „being gyaru“ in a span of a few days solely for the purpose of attention of social media. it applies to those who only like the idea of a subculture (most of the time its watered down too) and have practically no idea about anything but just post videos because theyre so „#swag“ coded

Im punk,Metalhead and goth. I listen to all of the music and I align with the beliefs. I go to concerts and appreciate All of the subcultures. I think you can be multiple at the same time . Of course not changing every day being like ’oh yeah im not goth im actually scene now’ in the span of a few days. That’s a different thing. But you can be multiple at once. I don’t know if you’re implying that you can’t be multiple or just that you don’t change and discard one subculture every day.

yes you can? while your style may vary from day to day, you can still keep the same mindset. For example, lets say i dress punk one day, and goth the other. My mindest still stays the same. I really dont understand what you were trying to say with your video, but you can explain it to me, i promise i wont atack you i just want to understand what you were trying to say.

i get it if it’s like the “oh i was goth last week, i’m actually emo now.” or “no i was a metalhead yesterday, i’m cybergoth” kinda shit but other than that, you very well can be multiple subcultures (i would say my personal limit before i start looking at a person weird is like 4 or 5)

I’m a goth, a metalhead and a punk who dresses like Frank Gallagher majority of the time and it makes me no less of anything being a member of a subculture means being a member of the community, listening to the music and upholding the beliefs in which the subculture stands for. Subcultures aren’t mutually exclusive also completely unrelated you look cool asf

I’m confused because I follow multiple subcultures and always do no matter how I dress, I just like to switch between the alt styles because that’s how I can express myself. Like I’m very much goth I love goth music and other parts of the culture like macabre but sometimes I dress a way that fits into another subculture that I also align with

tbf i am a goth and a metalhead, im educated in the goth subculture and have been for years and grew up in a goth household. i am also a metalhead and in a metal band as a vocalist, if you’re holding the values from each subculture i fail to see why it should matter

I think being tied down to one style or one musical subculture is boring. life is about trying new things. (i mean this purely with fashion and musical taste. you cant jump between the political beliefs that go with it obviously)
