this actually explains so many awkward meetings. some people process in real time, others need space to think deeply before speaking. giving that gap and then starting with them feels like a small shift but probably changes who gets heard a lot ✌️👀

One of the best meeting hacks I’ve ever heard learned and did to a surprisingly positive effect was understanding the concept of the hippo, the highest paid person’s opinion and making sure that the more seen you are the less you talk and you’re only talking at the end of the meeting, not the beginning
