I support my ruminators by providing the material ahead of time so they have time to process the information. I am one of them.

Brandon Frank :
Ruminators are great for analytical thinking and making the “right choice”, but how do you handle leaderships who ruminate on decisions for days (if not weeks), when you have an emergency that needs an expedited answer?

I'm terrible at thinking on my feet, but if you give me a few hours, I will come up with some great ideas.

I love this and appreciate this so much. I’m a ruminator. In my last role I was forced to speak prematurely. I hated it. I appreciate it when people take a moment

Silence in a meeting isn't always agreement. Sometimes it's just someone waiting to be asked.
Real leadership means noticing the difference.

This is so accurate. The quiet ones in the room are usually the ones with the most valuable perspective. They just need the right space to share it.

Daily Book Breakdown :
this actually explains so many awkward meetings. some people process in real time, others need space to think deeply before speaking. giving that gap and then starting with them feels like a small shift but probably changes who gets heard a lot ✌️👀

Knowing your people and being aware of how they work and work best together is key to growing the organization. It hinges on your people.

One of the best meeting hacks I’ve ever heard learned and did to a surprisingly positive effect was understanding the concept of the hippo, the highest paid person’s opinion and making sure that the more seen you are the less you talk and you’re only talking at the end of the meeting, not the beginning

Sometimes the people who think out loud also have the worst ideas — it’s good to get input from ruminators! 👍

Silence—-thinkers—-people maybe that just don’t want to talk? No matter the reason—-silence should never be treated as defiance. And approaching them after the fact is often times suggesting just that—-

I’m AuDHD and I do both…sometimes I’m processing, it takes time especially when the outcome is critical & other times the idea or solution comes immediately.
