I’ve taken lithium for 40 years. I’ve had lithium poisoning twice. When your dehydrated your lithium level in the blood can go too high. I am careful in the summer and am under the care of a doctor and have lithium level monitored. It’s a great drug and I’ve tried to come off but there’s nothing like it. It is taxing on your kidneys.

It says it has magnesium and citric acid. Where does the lithium come in?

Im 51. There were 10 of us kids. When we were sick (which wasn't very often) the only thing my mom gave us was either 7 UP or mint tea. Thats it. No Dr's, no prescriptions,no over the counter medicine from the grocery store. If we were gassy, or had a belly ache when we were babies we got fennel tea. Thats it. But as babies we all were breastfeed until at least 2 years of age, or until the next baby booted us off th boobie 😁 Heck many times my mom had 2 of us kids at a time in the boobie. When my 2nd child was 6 months old I got pregnant with my 3rd. When he was born, I simply just breastfeed both of them. I stuck one on each boob. My kids were never sick, fussy, no sleepless nights. They all slept with me. Easy Peasy!!!🥰 I love being pregnant, going into labor, having my babies was and is the most important thing in my life. My kids are grown now and have kids of their own. My youngest daughter said that she would NEVER sleep with her infant daughter in the bed with her. At about 3 weeks old, she changed her mind and brought baby Ava into the bed with her and her husband. She came to me and said now I know why you brought us to bed with you mom. She felt safer with her infant daughter with her in the bed. She could feel and hear her breathing, when she got hungry she simply plop a boob her in mouth and back to sleep they went. Wake back up, roll over and plop the other boob in her mouth 😂😂 Shes 5 months old now and still no sleepless night. Her daughter goes to sleep at 8 pm, wakes up at around 6 to feed again and goes back to sleep until around 9 am. A full night's sleep for mommy and daddy, and baby Ava is very happy as well. As mother's our bodies know when our babies are near to us, and rest assured our babies know that their mommy's are near as well. Its the way it's supposed to be. Our children are happier and healthier because of it. No one will ever convince me otherwise. I don't even remember where I was going with this now,but it sure brought back some wonderful loving memories. Especially since I lost my oldest son to suicide 5 years ago. RIP my beautiful boy.I know you are safe now and no longer suffering, though I miss you dearly🙏❤️

You have to get blood test regularly. Lithium can be dangerous if not monitored correctly...

I’m 4 weeks in taking lithium orotate and my life is completely different. I wonder what my life could have been if I had found it at 19 instead of 59. Oh well, better late than never.
