@stellarscaffolding: ‘She doesn’t want to go to prom on her own…’ Me: Hold my fucking drink. 😉📈 A few weeks ago, I got a message from a dad asking if a few of the Stellar boys could escort his daughter, Leah, to prom. She has autism, didn’t have friends to go with and was scared of attending on her own. On top of that, she’s had the toughest year imaginable, helping care for her siblings while her baby sister has been seriously ill. Her dad said: “I’m just trying to make one very special day for her.” That was all we needed to hear. Leah loves Batman and Marvel, so we had Batman and Marvel on the back of the lorry. On Friday night me and the boys turned up with gifts, cards and even some spending money to make sure she knew just how special she is. Then we escorted her to prom like the VIP she deserved to be. Yesterday, we got this message: “Thank you so much for last night. I really enjoyed myself… everyone was buzzing about the arrival all night… Do I need my high-vis for Monday morning? Lol.” Some things are much bigger than scaffolding, not many though, especially not Stellar ones. Leah, you’re a champion and officially the newest leader of the Stellar Army.
