my county had such a big issue with dog attacks on one CR they warned the residents to leash and properly put up their dogs before the 13th of November last year, they didn't listen and the county wardens came out and just shot every dog they saw. they reported about 112 dogs shot and put down. residents listened real quick after that, no more complaints about livestock being killed, kids being attacked in their yards and people driving hitting dogs since then.

You can get mad at the biker all you want. A dog that wanders into a road to attack a biker and gets sprayed by mace will probably never go on the road again.

truly. if for some reason my dog was loose (he never would be) and he tried to attack someone. id rather he ends up maced then to end up harming someone and likely having to be put down for it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

My mom runs every morning, she Carrie’s a bear spray and also an electronic device that emits a noise they hate so they leave her alone. The device doesn’t work on dogs with hearing issues though so the bear spray is for backup
