@fit.mom.carlyn: Here are some more social and grooming things to cover with your child to help them fit in and not get made fun of at school. #christiantiktok #parents #kids #school #teacher
I still remember sitting my mom down in the couch and saying: “I want a bra and to start shaving.” I was like in 4th grade. Probably should’ve asked her when my dad wasn’t right there too because he about choked on his drink 😅

This is all very helpful! I have a 3rd grade daughter and 1st grade son and kindergarten son! I didn’t become somewhat “popular” untill my last two years of high school from being on cheer team! These are great tips! 🥰

Body odor starts so much younger than I think parents want to acknowledge. And a simple deodorant habit can really prevent so many unnecessary self confidence issues throughout childhood and adolescence

can we add teaching children not to comment on other people’s bodies, lest they scar their peers for life

My daughter was teased in 1st grade over her leg and arm hair, I fixed it for her and it made her so happy and confident. No big deal to fix body hair if it bothers your child people can get so weird about making your child wait before they start shaving

I also drilled into my son's head to check his face after lunch in the bathroom and make sure he cleans off any food and make sure his braces are clean.

Right before 6th grade my mom took me to the mall to a makeup counter and had them do my makeup while showing me how and then we bought the stuff they used—totally recommend this for everyone to show your girls how and to create a nice memory!

My 5th grade daughter got bullied for leg hair. As soon as she told me, I got her a razor and taught her to shave her legs. I feel like I didn’t shave my legs until I was 13, but my daughter had leg hair at age 10. Kids can be so mean!

The bra one is very important, my mom didn't let me wear them until I was 14, I felt really uncomfortable

👏🏼teach your daughters about periods👏🏼 when I was growing up, it was treated like a huge secret. my 6 year old has known what a period is and why it happens from the moment she was old enough to ask "mom why is there blood in your underwear". just the other day she asked me why I wasn't swimming and I said "oh my period is pretty heavy today so I don't really wanna swim" and she was like ok🤷🏼♀️. it does not have to be a huge thing.

There are gonna be people who don’t like this series, but I am here to say thank you for it! There are so many people who won’t think of these things, and so many kids who will be harmed by that.

No one ever bought me a bra or told me to wear one until AFTER I was in pre athletics in 6th grade. We had to change in front of everyone and people did make fun of me for not wearing a bra. Definitely not letting that happen to my girls.

I’m a dental hygienist— It is not enough to remind your kids to brush and floss. Most kids can’t effectively floss their own teeth until age 10-12. You have to do it for them!
