Small black owned business owner in the Chicagoland area! And we love Chicago. It’s provided my husband and I the opportunity to get out of poverty and into home ownership and provide jobs to our community members too. Mayor Johnson’s office called us to congratulate us after becoming the only black owned remodeling products distributor in the region when we had our ribbon cutting. Love him!!

Hes been doing good things but he is approving permits for a data center in the South Side which the community doesn't want at all. Just read anything about the factories of the old days and how there was not enough accountability. Hoping he does the right thing and shuts it down.its possible to have our own Mamdani, he just needs the courage being given to him by the community, if he'll accept it. Also the joke about the food being too spicy and Pilsen is not as funny as you think when our communities are actually being affected by gentrification not just in the US but in Mexico as well.
