This is a basic question in Singapore for grade 5. Radius = (base + height - hypo) / 2 but it only works for right angle. If it’s not right angle, it’s r= A/s. You solution is not elegant

I used A=rs to find the area of the circle. Where: A = area of triangle r = radius s = semiperimeter or (P/2)

you could use the fact that the points which circle is on the triangle have equal distance label the left side of 3 size side x and then we would get that x = 1 and is also radius

3² + 4² = 5² . 9 + 16 = 25 . (3 + 4 - 5)/2 = r 2/2 = r r = 1
