This is something I appreciate about Majora’s Mask - there is no true starter town, and it always gave me that homesick feeling that paired well with the games themes and story.

hell yeah, lowk the importance of community, & it made us talk to every npc for some reason, not just only for free items but some had interesting lore as well

okami the opposite. you eventually saved the town which then became the cozy town and then the second half of the game began. nice twist on the starter town premise

I always appreciate how the small tutorial area of a game mirrored the notion that as a kid the home is your world at first, then your town, then the world etc. I always thought that structure was designed to mimic how we expand our horizons in life. But you just add another dimension to the design choice! Thanks for another w take 👌🏻
