The wrong CMAT song to have chosen

Donna Marie :
If you listen to CMAT’s Euro country, there’s a specific part of the song that’s really powerful. It tackles the Celtic tiger trauma and calls out a lot of political corruption. She’s a wonderful lyricist.

“All of my jokes have turned to prayers Because they're scarred just like their mother” is such an incredible line. Absolutely adore this song.

I always describe CMAT as Sinéad O'Connor, mixed with dolly, mixed with kylie

This isn’t the best song to show I don’t think, I know Olivia Rodrigo covered it so it’s now quite popular but she has others that are phenomenal

I actually LOVE your reaction because I think that's how everyone has found CMAT. She isn't over produced or pure pop so you kind of start noticing her after a few different songs and then seek out the album to become a fan

That is definitely the perfect description of CMAT's style. when I got her album last year it was a slow burn but every time I listened to it I discovered something new. She is the queen of amazing Bridges.

Paul, you’ve got to see her live. That’s her real magic. Watch a few of her live performances-Jools Holland and Graham Norton. Listening to her records hits different after you’ve seen her live.

My favourite song on the album. Starts off quite gently, then soars.

Really surprised how people have gone for this song, I’d probably put at least ten of hers above this. Would look forward to more of a reaction on Stay for Something from Graham Norton or Running Planning from Jools Holland ✌🏼
