my L5P cost less than my jeep to drive and maintenance.... oil change, fuel filter changes, tires ..... normal stuff? 200k before I had to do a pigtail ($30) mid 20's mpg vs 12mpg if I'm lucky on the jeep. yes it may take $1 some change more per gallon but if the gallon is lasting twice as long where is the problem?

I have a gad 2500hd, 6.2L 1500 and a Duramax 2500hd and 99% i daily the Duramax. Just way more fun to drive!

I mean definitely depends. for us Insurance is a lot cheaper on our diesel truck versus our car and we’ve had really no cost other than normal oil changes and filters and what not, we get better mileage with our diesel truck than my small SUV does the cost per gallon is about the same.

600 HP, 1200 torque deleted and tuned. Simple maintenance. No issues. Total blast to drive and pulls doubles like nothing.

My 3.0 Duramax consistently got 25mpg and up to 31 on road trips. Now I have an LML though, still gets better fuel mileage compared to my 5.3 - and you can’t beat the K2xx body style

Buying one this week. Do I have a single reason for a diesel? No. But 22 mpg as a weekend rig for dirt bike trips seems better than the 15 mpg I get in my 5.3

I get just as good or better fuel mileage than a gas truck. AND I can haul whatever I want, when I want. Haters will always hate for what they can't afford. It's called disposable income for a reason.
