Its a shame that I think the trailers and marketing suck for this movie, based on my favorite comic from DC in so long- still excited for the movie, and the shots look fire, but, I have a feeling that if me… someone who’s seeing it anyway and is excited, don’t like the trailers, will casuals check in?… it’s gonna be such a shame if it doesn’t do well because the entire story is so goddamn strong

Phoenix A is an extremely massive supermassive black hole located at the center of a giant galaxy in the Phoenix Cluster, approximately 5.8 billion light-years from Earth. Therefore, when we observe it, we are essentially seeing what it was like billions of years ago. Phoenix A is particularly notable for its estimated enormous mass: popular sources often quote around 100 billion solar masses, though this figure has a large margin of error and is not considered definitive. If this mass is indeed accurate, Phoenix A would be one of the most massive black holes known to humanity. The size of such a black hole is difficult to imagine. For a mass equal to 100 billion solar masses, its event horizon diameter would be approximately 590 billion kilometers. This is many times larger than the size of a planetary system and approximately a hundred times the distance from the Sun to Pluto. For comparison, the Sagittarius A black hole at the center of our Milky Way has a mass of about 4 million Suns — meaning the hypothetical Phoenix A would be approximately 25,000 times more massive. The black hole itself is invisible: astronomers study it by its effect on the surrounding gas, its radiation, and the powerful jets of matter that can be ejected from the region around it. The Phoenix Cluster itself is particularly interesting. Surrounding the central galaxy is a vast amount of hot gas, reaching temperatures of millions of degrees. Typically, the energy of an active black hole heats this gas and prevents it from cooling, thus preventing the formation of new stars. However, in the Phoenix Cluster, some of the gas does cool, and intense star formation occurs in the central galaxy. This is what makes the system so intriguing to scientists: it simultaneously exhibits a gigantic black hole, powerful heating of the surrounding gas, and the active birth of new stars. That said, Phoenix A is not necessarily the largest black hole in the Universe — it's more accurate to consider it one of the leading candidates for being one of the most massive known black holes. #blackhole #ton618 #spacetok #facts
